THE BRIEF

From raw coastal data to a system people could navigate.

Tideframe is a concept platform for planners making high-stakes coastal decisions. The brief was to turn dense projections, maps, and risk models into a brand that could earn trust without feeling cold or inaccessible.

CREATIVE PRINCIPLE

“Clarity should feel like confidence, not simplification.”

  • 01

    CHALLENGE

Data without a human way in
Useful information was trapped inside technical language and visually dense outputs.
  • 02

    RESPONSE

    A system built around orientation
Maps, signals, and editorial hierarchy made the complex feel progressively understandable.
  • 03

    DESIGNED OUTCOME

    One language across every touchpoint
Identity, product UI, reports, and decks now share the same logic and visual voice.

THE IDENTITY SYSTEM

A stable frame for a changing world.

A calm information system holds space for movement, uncertainty, and urgent decisions.

TYPE + INFORMATION RHYTHM

Low tide,
high clarity.

A friendly rounded display voice creates approachability. A disciplined sans-serif keeps data, annotations, and actions precise.

THE DIGITAL EXPERIENCE

Designed to move from overview to evidence.

The interface uses progressive disclosure: orient first, reveal evidence second, make the next action unmistakable.

DATA STORYTELLING

Complexity, given a reading order.

Every report begins with orientation, moves through evidence, and closes with a usable decision.

  • 01

    Orient

Where are we, and what changed?

  • 02

    Interpret

What does the evidence mean here?

  • 03

    Act

What is the next defensible move?

THE COMMUNICATION TOOLKIT

One visual language, wherever the story travels.

Presentation templates, campaign modules, and field materials all inherit the same orientation-first logic.

CONCEPT OUTCOME

A system designed to keep clarity intact.

The test was not whether one screen looked beautiful. It was whether the same idea could remain useful across every format.

three disciplines one through line

01

Coherent across formats
The identity, interface, report, and campaign assets all share one recognizable visual logic.

02

Confident without feeling cold
Technical credibility is balanced with a human voice, clear hierarchy, and approachable forms.

03

Built to keep expanding
A modular system can absorb new regions, datasets, reports, and communication needs.
